Hello Roots Friends!
It’s hard to believe that Summer is just around the corner. We know how turbulent this year has been for each of us, and we also recognize that there is still a lot we are still dealing with. Finding hope during this year has been challenging to say the least, however, it seems as though we are turning a corner in the Covid-19 saga, and Forest Home has decided to officially move forward with plans for Summer Camp and we have an awesome trip for our high school students we are excited to share with you!
Summer Camp at Forest Home will only be available for our Middle School students this year due to current limitations. Students moving into 6th grade through students moving out of 8th grade are more than welcome to join us for a week of fun in the mountains!
Summer Camp will be on July 25-30. The cost is $475 per student with a $100 non-refundable deposit due at registration. We were able to figure out a way to bring the cost back down to the original price we had. To sign up, students must submit their deposit first. Once that is received, you will be sent a registration link from Forest Home to fill out online. Spots are very limited, so do not hesitate if you are interested in joining us this year!

Every Summer, we take our high school students on a trip into the unknown. They sign up and have no idea where they’re going or what they’re doing (Don’t worry! Parents get to know!). Students who are graduating 8th grade and moving into high school all the way to our seniors who are graduating are welcome on this trip. This year, our adventure will be on July 1-5 and will cost $350 with a  $100 non-refundable deposit. If you are interested in registering your student and want more information on location and details, feel free to email me directly at . We try our best to keep the secret as limited as possible so none of our students find out where they’re going! Once a deposit is received, you will get a permission form to fill out that is due before our departure date. Trust me! This is a trip your student definitely won’t want to miss! Spots are limited, so don’t delay on registration!

If you are submitting a check, please make it out to “Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church” with “Summer Camp” or “Destination Unknown” in the memo.
More details will be sent out in June for those who have registered with more details surrounding each trip (packing list, transportation, etc.).
We also recognize that not every student will be able or comfortable to participate in camp this year. We do not want any student to miss out on a unique, fun Summer opportunity, so we are currently working on some additional options for students through the Summer season!
