Student Ministry Spring Update
Greetings church family! March is here and with it comes the anticipation of Spring and the start of all kinds of exciting things in Student Ministries. Here are a few things I want to make sure you know about:
New Series!
Beginning this Wednesday, we’ll be starting a new that we’re calling “Surrender” which is focused around the question “What is worship?” We’ll be digging into what a lifestyle of worship looks like as opposed to worship simply being the musical portion of a church service. Worship is something we do with our entire lives, and we can worship God through many different ways, shapes, and forms. We meet every Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 downstairs in the student ministry room.
This past Sunday, we began a month-long series about communion called “The Good Gift.” We’re talking with students all about what communion is, the history behind it, and why it’s important for us today in 2018. We meet every Sunday during the 9:30 service downstairs in the student ministry room.
Spring Retreat!
On March 23-25, we are headed to Lake Hemet for a weekend getaway full of fun, worship, and conversation together! We’ll be taking time to talk together about the idea of where we are establishing our roots in this life – in Christ or somewhere else? We are really excited for this opportunity to help students unplug from everyday life and focus a bit on their relationship with God. Universal Studios Day!
On April 21, we are taking students to Universal Studios Hollywood for a day of fun and connecting. We believe some of the best relationship-building happens when you’re simply having fun together. Summer Trip Dates!
We’ll be sending out more information VERY soon about our Summer trip, but I wanted to make sure you had the dates available sooner than later so you can mark your calendars! We will be heading out on a Summer adventure on July 29-August 4. Expect promo materials and registration packets to be coming out shortly!
Parent Info Meeting!
Mark your calendars for our next Parent Info Meeting where we’ll be covering all our summer plans! It will be on Sunday, April 22 directly following the second service downstairs in the student ministry room. We hope you can make it!
