Music & ChoirIt has been said that that many people say they attend this church because of the music! A message with music touches hearts in ways the spoken word can't. Perhaps that's why God has given music to us to express ourselves beyond words!Our goal is to prepare worship music that brings a meaningful sense of worship and added inspiration to the congregation and also challenges and rewards those who serve in the music ministry. "Use what talents you possess: the wood would be silent if no birds sang there except those that sang the best.” Unknown We welcome anyone who would like to join us and participate in this important aspect of worship. No auditions required, but you need to carry a tune. All of our organizations are active October thru May. Please contact the office at (760) 346-8195 for specific schedules.  Chancel Choir Rehearsals are at 7:00 p.m. every Thursday. The Choir sings the great classics and master works of sacred music by the likes of Bach, Haydn, and Mozart. Their selections include the pillars of American Hymns (Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, and more) and the best from today’s sacred music writers and composers. The Choir provides our Sunday morning music each week through May. Some special services and concerts are planned each year. We have a robe waiting for you. Childcare is provided upon request. Pilgrims Choir Rehearsals are at 6:00 p.m. every other Thursday. The Pilgrims bring a toe-tapping, swinging style to the music they present with lush harmonies that warm the soul. This group is ideal for those who like to sing contemporary or gospel styles of music or can't make the weekly choir commitment. The Pilgrims sing about once a month. Childcare is provided upon request.  Desert Bell Tones Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. This hand bell group plays in worship six to seven times a season and at special events. Reading music is required. For more information contact the Bell Tone Director, Ray Allen at 360-9323. Praise Band These Instrumentalists and singers present the music for our contemporary service. Rehearsals are ongoing. For more information, contact the church office. Children's Choirs Fun games and singing are all part of the rehearsals which are every Wednesday at 4pm for children Pre-k thru 5th grade in conjunction with Kid's Club. Children learn to make music together, building a sense of pride and expanding their knowledge about God through the music they sing. The choirs will sing occasionally at worship services and possibly two special concerts. Your children and grandchildren are guaranteed to enjoy this wonderful learning experience.
