Music & ChoirIt has been said that that many people say they attend this church because of the music! A message with music touches hearts in ways the spoken word can't. Perhaps that's why God has given music to us to express ourselves beyond words!Our goal is to prepare worship music that brings a meaningful sense of worship and added inspiration to the congregation and also challenges and rewards those who serve in the music ministry. "Use what talents you possess: the wood would be silent if no birds sang there except those that sang the best.” Unknown We welcome anyone who would like to join us and participate in this important aspect of worship. No auditions required, but you need to carry a tune. All of our organizations are active October thru May. Please contact the office at (760) 346-8195 for specific schedules.  Chancel Choir Rehearsals begin Thursday. Oct.1st at 7 PM meeting every Thursday in the Taylor Fine Arts room. The Choir provides our Sunday morning music at the 8:30 and 10:15am services each week through May. No auditions required, but you need to carry a tune. A couple of special services and concerts are planned. Winter visitors are welcome to sing when you arrive in town. Child care is provided upon request. Pilgrims Choir Rehearsals begin Thursday, Oct. 8th at 6 PM meeting every other Thursday in the Taylor Fine Arts room. This group is ideal for those who like to sing toe-tapping contemporary or gospel styles of music or can’t make the weekly choir commitment. The Pilgrims sing about once a month. Child care is provided upon request.  Desert Bell Tones Rehearsals began in Sept. and are every Wednesday at 5 PM. This hand bell group plays in worship six to seven times a season and at special events. Reading music is required. Children's Choirs Rehearsals will be in coordination with our Kid’s Club events in the fall and winter beginning on Sept. 30 through Nov. 18 at 4:00 pm every Wednesday for children K thru 6. The choirs will sing occasionally at worship services and possibly 2 special concerts. Their director, Heather Stanley, will also work with our Sunday school classes the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of each month at 10:45 am.
