Mariner trips are for adults in the church who like visiting new places and learning new things!

Mariner trips provide fellowship and good times for singles and couples. Our goals are to: expand Christian relationships; create fellowship opportunities and build up the body of Christ.

Participating in Mariners activities is guaranteed to bring new friends into your life. We sponsor some special events and great bus trips. These functions are for all adults in our church and are a perfect way to enjoy Christian fellowship.


2007 Mariner's Update

$4,000 was given to missions from last year's bus trip proceeds. As well as $1,000 to the rescue mission, $1,000 to the rescue mission building fund, $1,000 to our scholarship fund and $1,000 to WEH.

Wed. Dec. 10, 2008 - $95 per person
Candlelight Pavilion
- This show will surely get you into the spirit of Christmas.  Join us for “The Wonderful World of Christmas”.  You will hear classic Christmas songs, an amazing dance number and a heartwarming story.  The cost includes transportation, the show and a lovely served lunch.  Bus leaves at 10 a.m. and returns at 5:00 p.m.

Sat. Dec. 20, 2008 - $95 per person
The Disney Hall Theater
- There will be a special holiday performance entitled “Twas the Week Before Christmas”. This trip will include a tour of the Disney Theater’s amazing facility. Bring your lunch or plan to eat at the Disney Hall. We leave at 10 a.m. and return at 6 p.m.

Rose Parade
- Cardiff  is sponsoring a trip to the New Years Parade in Pasadena which will include a light breakfast, transportation and bleacher seats.  Please contact Cardiff at 760-568-1493 for more information.

Tues. Jan. 13, 2009 - $55 per person
Griffith Park Observatory AND Gene Autry Museum - After a four year renovation, the Observatory has re-opened. You will see the planetarium show, space exhibit and much more. The Autry Museum will have a display entitled “Art of the Missions of New Mexico”. We will have a no-host lunch at the Observatory. We leave at 9:00 a.m.

Tues. Feb. 3, 2009 - $60 per person
March Air Force Base, Glass Museum & Redlands Mansion
- You do not want to miss this three for the price of one trip.  The men will particularly like the tour at the Air Force Base, while the ladies may prefer the only glass museum west of the Mississippi that displays glassware by American artists from the 1800’s to the present.  Everyone will love the tour of the mansion.  We have also planned a surprise stop for a no-host lunch.  We leave at 8:30 a.m.

Thurs. Mar. 5, 2009
Huntington Library & Gardens & The Simon in Pasadena - You will be thrilled when you see the flowers and statues at both the Huntington and Simon.  There are European, Asian and American paintings and sculpture.  Bring your lunch or enjoy a no-host lunch at The Huntington.  We leave at 8:30 a.m.

March 30th - April 2, 2009
Zion & Bryce National Parks in Utah  - In response to your many requests, a spring trip is planned!  Please request a yellow flyer for additional information or call Al/Bev Johnson at 760-770-3166 or 253-927-2764.

Sept. 6, 2009
Cruise to Alaska on NCL  - Here is your opportunity to see some incredible scenery on a 7 night, 8 day cruise.  The Norwegian Pearl will take us into Glacier Bay.  Please see separate sign-up sheet with prices or call Al/Bev Johnson at 760-770-3166 or 253-927-2764 or call Cruise Holidays at 760-320-5788 and mention Mariner Cruise in September.

ALL TRIPS LEAVE FROM IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH. Times will be announced in the fall and you will be called the week prior to the trip. Please park in last 2 rows. For any changes, check at the Mariner's Booth.

*Cancellation Policy: Because of expenses incurred and commitments made when we plan the trips, the following will apply: If you cancel up to 14 days before the event, your money will be refunded minus a $10 per person administrative charge.

Gratuities: Your registration fee includes a gratuity for the driver.

Travelers Needing Assistance: Persons needing individual assistance for walking, dining, or other personal needs must be accompanied by an able companion. Certain trips and features are not wheelchair or walker accessible.
