WOW Classes for AdultsSept. 28—Oct. 19: Biblical EthicsThis class will explore the commands, standards and instructions of Scripture and how we understand and apply God’s Word to real people in real-life situations. Taught by Pastor Doug and Pastor Denn Sept. 28—The End of Life—What is the origin of death? Why do Christians die? What happens at death? Funerals and Burials; Euthanasia and Suicide; Christ’s Victory over Death. Oct. 5—Marriage and Morality Oct. 12—War Oct. 19—Lying and Telling the Truth Sept. 28-Nov. 9: Managing Our Finances God’s Way Have you ever struggled with your finances? Do you wonder what the Scripture might say about this area of our lives? Would you like some practical help? This is a 7-week practical application class with video presentations and workbook assignments each week. Videos are taught by Christian leaders such as Rick Warren and Chip Ingram. Topics include: “Plan Your Spending”, “Saving and Investing”, and “God’s Solution to Debt”. Important Note: Participants in the class DO NOT share financial information with each other. WOW Classes for Children and YouthCHILDREN meet each Wednesday from 6:00—8:00 pm in FLC. for Bible study, games and snacks.YOUTH meet each Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm in FLC. | Annual Harvest Carnival - Saturday, October 22. We provide games, and activities for children and youth in a safe and pleasant atmosphere. Please join us! |
| Opportunities for Local Service - We have great human needs here in our backyard, for which we can help make a difference in Christ’s name. Families and older children can help serve dinner at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission any time and see the work being done for the homeless in our valley. Contact Pastor Julie if you would like to do this as a family. |
| “What’s on Wednesdays” - It will begin again on September 28th from 6-8 p.m. Children and youth attend age appropriate fellowship groups and adults have a variety of classes to attend.
